The century club

In Saturday's post, We made a brief mention of the Wilkes-Barre/ScrantonPenguins' 10th anniversary teamas selected by fans. Seeing a few names like Dennis Bonvie andAlain Nasreddine on the roster, it was obvious that fans voted with theirhearts on this one. And there's nothing wrong with that. That's what somethinglike this is intended for.But after seeing this team, and having a job that doesn'tafford us the financial or social abilities to actually spend a Friday nightlike a normal person in their 20s, we did some digging in the Internet HockeyDatabase, and figuredout the leading career scorers with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The following is a listing of every player with 100 or morecareer points with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton: PlayerGames PlayedGoalsAssistsPointsTom Kostopoulos31897149246Tomas Surovy2398988177Toby Petersen28872105177Shane Endicott2927393166Kris Beech1715397150Michel Ouellet1827173144Eric Meloche2496177138Martin Sonnenberg2135481135Matt Murley2164887135Colby Armstrong2514683129*-Jonathan Filewich2246261123Ross Lupaschuk2714274116John Slaney894268110*-Ryan Stone1813276108Matt Hussey2695156107Greg Crozier1484658104Kurtis McLean1634259101 *-Still with the Penguins organization. Not exactly a list full of.nhl All-Stars, but then again, ifyou are a legit.nhl talent, you're not going to spend too much time in the AHL.(Photo: PittsburghPenguins)Penguins-For those of you wanting to catch the Penguins in person incentral Ohio, the Blue Jackets will make single-game tickets availableSept. 19, noon.
